Master Class announcement: Session 2 – Raising Awareness among CSO Activists on Environmentally Friendly Lifestyles and Sustainable Consumption

Organised by IPO Ecopartnership, Minsk, Belarus, in cooperation with the Regional Environmental Center (REC), Hungary.

Session 2 of the Master Class will take place in Minsk between June 20 and 22, 2014, and is aimed at representatives of Belarusian CSOs. The focus will be on eco-friendly lifestyles and sustainable consumption. Participants will have an opportunity to share their experiences with experts from the Baltic States, Hungary and Belarus. In addition, representatives of Belarusian CSOs will share their successes in creating green city maps and eco-villages.

Participants will find out how to:

  • distinguish environmental labelling from green camouflage
  • organise an information campaign to promote eco-friendly lifestyles
  • adopt environmentally friendly habits

If you would like to participate in the training, please send a completed application form to MasterClassBelarus@rec.org by June 15. Applicants must be CSO activists working on environmental issues, sustainable development, and/or consumer rights in Belarus. Preference will be given to representatives of CSOs already participating in SECTOR activities. More than one representative from a CSO may apply, but the number of representatives accepted per organisation will depend on the availability of places.
