Genta Hoxha
Information Officer, REC Albania

Genta has worked for REC Albania since 2001, chiefly as Environmental Information Officer, and plays a leading role in publishing its monthly environmental newsletter; “Environment Today”

She graduated with a BSc as a social worker from the Social Science Faculty at the University of Tirana and followed this up more recently with successfully completing a Masters degree in Public Administration from the same university.


Inka Peršic

Inka has worked at REC Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2001 as coordinator of national grant program and other programs/projects related to environmental CSO strengthening.

In parallel, she has worked as Information Manager, Editor of national Bulletin and is REC BiH’s Web master.

Formally a journalist, she is author or co-author of several local publications and manuals on environmental civil society and media approaches.

Is a certified environmental journalist with the International Center for Journalists, Washington D.C.

Born, educated and living in Sarajevo.


Dalia Matijevic
Project Manager, REC Croatia

Dalia has been with REC Croatia since 1993, and currently her work relates to environmental civil society development and institutional capacity building in the environmental sector, both within Croatia and the region.

She started her professional career as a conservation manager in Mljet National Park, having graduated as a Molecular Biologist prior to that

Dalia specializes in nature resource management and public involvement within national park strategic planning processes.


Valentina Petrusevska
REC Macedonia

Valentina has served as project officer at REC’s Country Office in Macedonia since 2006, where she currently supports international projects on Local Environmantal Action Plans and CSO development.

Prior to this she served as a Community Investment Officer for the World Bank in conjunction with the Ministry of Finance, as a multi-stakeholder liaison officer.

Valentina is also qualified as a professor of the German literature and language, having graduated from the University “Kiril and Metodij”, Skopje.


Mira Vasiljevic
Project Manager, REC Montenegro

Mira has served as project manager for the Regional Environmental Center (REC) since 2005.

Prior to joining REC, she served as Montenegrin project coordinator for Ramboll Finnconsult in the “Development of Environmental Legislation in Serbia and Montenegro.”

As an NGO activitist she has founded AEGEE Niksic and is a member of the Montenegrin Scout association.

She holds a Bachelor degree in English language and literature and speaks English, Italian and French.


Srdjan Susic
Regional Environmental Center

Srdjan holds a degree in environmental policy, planning and regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

He is a project manager at REC with eight years of international work experience in environmental policy, planning and management.

He has extensive experience in developing local plans for action and sectoral policy documents related to local sustainability. He has worked with over 20 municipalities in the SEE region and assisted in drafting Local Environmental Action Plans for these communities.

He also contributes to the Environmental Compliance and Enforcement Network for Accession (ECENA).


Zorica Korac

Zorica Korac is a project manager in REC CO Serbia responsible for: Environmental Civil Society Initiatives, Education for Sustainable Development and Environmental Health.

Zorica holds an MSc degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Central European University, Budapest, and BSc degree in Biology Science from Belgrade University.

She is a member of a national action group for education for sustainable development, formed by the Ministry of Environment.

She has strong interest in the environment, art and sports.


Firdezi Bekteshi
Project Manager, REC Kosovo

Firdezi has been with REC Kosovo since May 2007 as Project and Information Officer.

Prior to this she worked for different International and national organizations (IRC, DRC, MSF, KWI, etc) supporting work in areas such as: gender issues, youth, psycho-social development, mental health, returnee and minority communities, etc.

Firdezi is currently studying psychology at the University of Prishtina.
