Witold Michalek, Unilob s.c.

Poland

Witold is an economist and is the former deputy-chairman of the Business Centre Club, the largest employer organization in Poland.

He is an expert on strategic planning, organization, monitoring, and advocacy on private sector and government economic policy.

He has extensive practical experience in planning, organizing and implementing advocacy and lobbying campaigns.

He’s also an expert in assessing the influence of support programs for SME development.

Danko Cosic, ProConcept

Director of ProConcept, a lawyer, born, educated and living in Belgrade.

Co-founder of the Center for Free Elections and Democracy – CeSID

After a year in Moldova, returned to Belgrade in 2005 to set up ProConcept, providing consulting services on effective lobbying, election monitoring, organizational development assistance and mountain rescue

Tihomir Knežicek, Freelance Trainer/Consultant

Herzegovina

Tihomir holds a doctorate degree in mining engineering from the University of Tuzla, B&H.

Since 1986 is professor and researcher at the University of Tuzla

Since 1996 has worked for international and local NGOs as trainer of institutional development at USAID DemNet and UNDP SUTRA.

Since 2004 serves as President of the Trainers’ Network Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Carried out training and ToT for more than 350 NGOs, government bodies and businesses, evaluated 6 EC funded projects. Published 4 textbooks and produced more than 45 training and associated materials.

Marija Risteska, CRPM

FYR Macedonia

Marija Risteska is a co-founder of CRPM- Centre for Research and Policy Making, a Skopje-based think-tank working on evidence based policy making.

At CRPM she currently works as senior analyst and leads the human development portfolio, as well as its capacity building programme for civil servants and CSOs.

She is lawyer and holds a Master in European Public Administration and Public Policy.

Marija has eight years of development experience including: policy analysis, legislative drafting, and public sector consulting. She worked in various capacities for all international organizations represented in Macedonia (from EAR, to UNIFEM, UNDP, WB, NDI and IOM)

Goran Djurovic, CRNVO

Montenegro

Goran graduated from the Faculty of Law Podgorica, and is now a postgraduate student at the Faculty of Economics.

At CRNVO he is responsible for education, serving as a trainer and consultant for NGOs in the fields of fundraising, organisational management, strategic planning, advocacy and civic education. To date he has contributed to over 150 seminars/trainings. At CRNVO he also fosters cooperation between local governments and NGOs.

He has contributed to numerous projects concerning Montenegrin civil society development, having coordinated and conducted research, hosted lectures, participated in debates and published related to NGO and government cooperation, anticorruption, cross border cooperation, democracy and human rights.

Milan Ristic, Education for Organizations in Civil Sector

Croatia

Milan has worked for the last ten years as a trainer/consultant specialised in the field of CSO management, public/policy advocacy, lobbying and project management in both Croatia and abroad

He has a BA degree as a special education teacher and has completed several Training of Trainer programs with Heartland International in Chicago

He is president of “Education for Organizations in Civil Sector” (EOS) and at the same time serves as a consultant and project manager for the Croatian Association of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing

Milan has authored numerous manuals and training materials and is fluent in English, speaks Spanish and is competent in sign language.

Romeo Hanxhari, University of Tirana, Albania

Albania

Romeo teaches “Environmental Policies” at the University of Tirana, where he has been working since 1991. At the same time he serves as advisor in environment and energy efficiency to the General Director of Albania’s energy enterprise.

In 1998 he founded the NGO: “For New Environmental Policies,” and currently serves as its President. The NGO has run many different environmental lobbying campaigns and projects, and together with other NGOs founded “The Albanian Network for Sustainable Development” and “Consortium for the Promotion of Environment-friendly Technologies”.

Romeo holds a PhD in “Environment and Territorial Resources Management”, awarded by the University of Lecce (Italy), and a Master in Mediterranean Geosystems from the University of Aix-en-Provence (France).

Romeo’s pet interest is languages – he speaks French, Italian, and English, and a little Greek.

 

Kushtrim Islami, Consultant

Kosovo

Kushtrim works as a freelance trainer/consultant for NGOs and governmental institutions in the fields of advocacy and lobbying, proposal writting, project cycle management, marketing and public relations, besides organisational management and strategic planning.

He holds a masters degree in Knowledge Management from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen UK.

He formerly worked as a coordinator at the Ministry of Culture, Youth Sports and Non-residential Affairs and also worked as a trainer/consultant under projects funded by USAID and other international foundations.
